OVERVIEW:

Nairobi national park is one of the parks found in the city.It was established in 1946.It occupies 117 kilometres squared and it has the big fives except the elephant since the park is small.

David Shedrick was Founded in 1977, by Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick, in memory of her late husband, who was a well known naturalist and founding warden of Tsavo East National Park.Rescued elephants from hostile environments are taken care of at David Shedrick.

Kazuri Beads brings the community together and also shows different cultures by showing their artistic work in bead work. Kazuri which means ''small and beautiful'' in Swahili.It began in 1975 when the founder Lady Suzan Wood learned that there was a great need of job employment to the women.
Limuru tea plantation is situated at Kiambethu in Limuru.It was farmed by AB McDonell in 1910. He was a pioneer in the tea industry being one of the first to make and sell tea commercially in Kenya - now one of Kenya’s largest exports.
Bomas of Kenya shows the amazing cultural dances of different tribes in Kenya. There are also houses that shows how different cultures lived in them.
Giraffe center is an amazing place to see the giraffe and able to feed them and also learn more about them.
Karen Blixen was opened to the public in 1986.It is known for its popularity in the film Out of Africa.
